Cancellation Policy

This Policy applies to all reservations made on or after July 1, 2022.

In general, if as a Guest, you cancel a Reservation, the amount refunded to you is determined by the refund policy that applies to that Reservation. You can find out what the refund policy is for a Reservation by entering the dates on the property page you wish to book and then clicking the "Refund Pollcy" link at the bottom of the reservation section. The maximum amount of any refund based on a cancellation that you, as a Guest, make, is the amount we have received. Any costs associated with making the payment (commissions, transaction fees, etc.) are borne by you. If we, as the Host, cancel your reservation before check in we will refund the full amount of the reservation. If we cancel your reservation after check in due to actions by you that violate the conditions of the reservation (partying, pets, illegal activities, etc.) we will generally not issue a refund of any sort. If something outside your control forces you to cancel or modify a Reservation, we will attempt to resolve the issue but are under no obligations other than the terms specified herein and the refund policy for the reservation.

Method of Refund

Unless otherwise mutually agreed, refunds will be made in the same manner as payment. In other words, if you pay with a credit card, any refund will be credited back to that same card. If you pay with PayPal we refund to PayPal and they will determine the manner and timing of your refund. If we accept a cash payment, we will refund in cash.

In no case will we refund an amount exceeding the amount paid to us or in a different manner than it was paid. For the avoidance of doubt, if we accept $100 via PayPal and $100 in cash we will refund a maximum of $100 in cash and $100 via PayPal. We will not, for example, refund $200 in cash in this circumstance.

Security Deposit

We collect a security deposit to ensure that we are reimbursed for any missing items or damage to the property caused by you as Guest . As a Guest, you are responsible for the actions of anyone you bring onto the property. At checkout we will inspect the property with you and note any damage or missing items discovered at that time. Cash deposits will be returned to you at this time if no damage was found. Other forms of payment will be returned within 3 days of checkout via the same manner in which they were paid. In the event damage is found or items missing not noted during checkout, we will notify you of same and provide an estimate of the costs. Any remaining amount will be promptly returned in accordance with this policy and any amount remaining due whill be charged to your chosen payment method.

General Provisions

No Assignment/No Insurance. This Cancellation Policy is not intended to constitute an offer to insure, does not constitute insurance or an insurance contract, does not take the place of insurance obtained or obtainable by the Guest, and the Guest has not paid any premium in respect of the Cancellation Policy. The benefits provided under this Cancellation Policy are not assignable or transferable by you.

Modification or Termination. Villas by Silvia reserves the right to modify or terminate this Cancellation Policy, at any time in its sole discretion. If Villas by Silvia modifies this Cancellation Policy, we will post the modification on the Villas by Silvia Platform or provide you with notice of the modification.

Entire Agreement. This Cancellation Policy constitutes the entire and exclusive understanding and agreement between Villas by Silvia and you regarding the Cancellation Policy and supersedes and replaces any and all prior oral or written understandings or agreements between Villas by Silvia and you regarding the Cancellation Policy.
